This painting in blue and greeny grey makes me think of water in this part of the west of Scotland. Everywhere around this area you can see water tumbling downhill, through rocks and crevices, especially after a rain shower. Consequently I titled it ‘Cascading’. I can’t see anything else but water falling when I look at this painting, but you might see something entirely different. That’s fine, and that’s the beauty of abstract art. I’ve added some chrome highlights in the centre – the second photo was taken to try and show the highlights more clearly but the colours in the first photograph are closer to reality.
It is painted in alcohol inks on 285m synthetic paper.
